Embassies
Jobs, CVs and
the job market
Although Mexican companies are looking for highly trained
graduates in a number of fields, they are likely to employ only Mexican
nationals who have trained either in their own country or abroad. It is very
difficult for a non-Mexican to find employment unless you can obtain an overseas
posting with a multinational company.
Newspapers are a good source of job vacancies and most of
these are available on the internet. Some of these include
El Economista,
El Informador,
Novedades
de Quintana Roo and
El
Heraldo de Mexico.

The Voluntary
Work Information Service (VWIS) organises two
projects in Mexico. Project Abroad where the volunteers
are available for positions in medical programmes,
in conservation programmes and business (accountancy,
computing/IT, hotel management, law) programmes. The
other project is Teaching Abroad.
